Yoga + Movement

Felix is an inspirational yoga teacher who draws upon both ancient and modern practices of uniting the body, mind and spirit for health and wellbeing.  Following extensive studies with teachers across the globe Felix has designed classes to uplift and inspire students through a dynamic and balanced sequence of exercise and relaxation to develop health, vitality and self-awareness.

His unique style of teaching fused with his vibrant personality and depth of knowledge make his classes fresh and inviting.

He is also a passionate artist, educated at the Slade College, UCL and has previously exhibited at the Royal Academy and the VBH Gallery, Maddison Avenue, New York.

Rachel believes that a whole persons lived experience is tied into how we move and that our movement habits will be dictated by the kind of world we have met and the kind of support, or lack of, we feel we have had.  With this in mind, Rachel’s teaching is firmly grounded in a functional, whole body movement approach to yoga that is perfect both as an introduction for complete beginners, or a curious diversion for those with a more traditional practice.

Rachel bases her work on sound biomechanical principles. Her aim when teaching is to hold space by creating an attitude of curiosity from which to explore how your body processes feeling and movement, how it takes up space and how it initiates and releases tension.

Rachel’s classes are informative and fun. You will work, you will laugh, you will be surprised, you will be humbled, you will feel cared for and acknowledged. You will be a part of a growing community of like-minded people who don't follow the trends, who ask questions, are endlessly curious, and always open to discovery.

Gabrielle Hales 2.jpg

It took a stint at a corporate global PR agency for Gabrielle Hales to realise that no, office life was not for her. One ticket to India later, she found herself teaching yoga and eager to share all the amazing things she’d learnt upon her return.

Beginning with classes in her own living room, the word spread and these events became so popular that she sought out ever-more exciting venues to host events in, bringing an extra element by working with up-and-coming chefs to expand them into yoga supper clubs.

Elements of immersive sound therapy and live music soon followed as part of Gabrielle’s mission to introduce a new sense of warmth and generosity to the yoga community - creating a new setting for yoga practice that was more sociable and less solitary.

Diahann (Dee) is an intuitive and gifted practitioner with a passion for inspiring deep states of self-inquiry and empowerment through yoga, guided meditations, invocations and crystal bowl sound healing.

Her offerings draw upon over 10 years of training and initiations across diverse traditions including Indian Yoga, Egyptian Feminine Mysteries, Theta Healing™ and Western Psychology.

With an emphasis on therapeutics and self-empowerment her mission is to create spaces that are healing, inspiring, unifying and uplifting.

All day-to-day retreat nourishments are based on a farm-to-table concept delivered in the shape of an exciting and evolving menu provided by international chefs-in-residence at Villa Lena.  This season, expect an exceptional sustainable focus – full of local and fresh produce which is always in abundance.  Meals are all vegetarian and thoughtfully considered.

Typical Villa Lena cuisine takes inspiration from Mediterranean dishes.  The focus is on simplicity, with use of local and home-grown produce to offer healthy but not restrictive feasts for all.

For the final night of the retreat, we’re looking forward to inviting renowned, London-based top chef and restaurateur, Ben Chapman (Smoking Goat, Kiln) to the Villa Lena kitchen for a final surprise.
